Majority of American Families Have No Emergency Preparedness Plan

In the wake of numerous recent natural disasters like Hurricane Irene and the possibility of a terrorist threat to the nation, the university says its time for Americans to get more serious about their safety.
51 Percent of Families Lack a Preparedness Plan
According to the survey, more than half of U.S. families lack a preparedness plan in the event that they are faced with an emergency that could leave them without food, water or other necessities.
Of the 1,000 adult phone respondents surveyed, 51 percent have absolutely no plan of action.

State Farm Pays $5 Billion to Cover Weather Damages
